An inter-faculty knowledge competition on the topic "44-day Patriotic War - a celebration of our sovereignty and territorial integrity" was held at the Azerbaijan State Agrarian University (ADAU) within the framework of the "Year of Constitution and Sovereignty".
Before the competition, the National Anthem was played, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who died for the territorial integrity and independence of our lands.
Vice-Rector for Educational Affairs Aida Gasimova and Head of the Department of Social Sciences Elgun Aslanov made speeches and noted that the main purpose of holding such events is to preserve and promote the legacy of the Great Leader Heydar Aliyev among young people, to study the history of the 44-day Patriotic War and our glorious Victory, as well as to deepen young people's knowledge of the history of Azerbaijan, develop their intellectual skills, and increase their interest in educational competitions.
In the two-stage competition, teams answered questions within a set time limit. Participants were asked questions on the adoption of the Constitution of Azerbaijan, the historical path our country has taken in building a legal, secular state, the protection of our sovereignty and territorial integrity, the Victory in the Patriotic War, our heroic martyrs, as well as various other topics.
In the intellectual competition, which took place in an interesting and intense competition, the “Iron Fist” team of the Faculty of Agronomy took first place, the “Towards Victory” team of the Ganja State Agrarian College took second place, and the “Zafar” team of the Faculty of Agrarian Economics took third place.
At the end, certificates and prizes were presented to the participants.
