In Ganja religious radicalism was discussed

March 3, the Azerbaijan State Agricultural University (ADAU) held an event on the topic “The essence and dangers of religious fanaticism, radicalism and extremism” organized by the Ganja Branch of the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

The event was attended by Hasan Mammadov, Head of the Ganja Department of the Committee, Professor Azad Bayramov, Head of the Department of ADAU, and students.

The presentations emphasized that religious fanaticism, radicalism and extremism are one of the gratest woes of society today. These included measures taken by the State to protect adolescents and young people from radical religious influences. At the same time, it was noted that today in our country everyone has the right to freedom of conscience and religion, and racial, national, religious and confessional discrimination are prohibited.
